FEX Association Autumn Meeting October 2, 2025

FEX's autumn member event was held as a breakfast session in October, with the theme focusing on how geopolitical shifts are reshaping business and leadership in Finland.

Before the keynote, FEX Board Member Mona-Maria Ilola gave an introduction on what the EU AI Act means for the executive search industry in practice.

The keynote speaker was Alexandra Pasternak-Jackson, CEO of AmCham Finland, presenting on the topic:

"Global Shifts, Local Impact: How Geopolitics Is Reshaping Business and Leadership in Finland."

Alexandra delivered a highly insightful presentation, sharing numerous examples of how geopolitics influences a wide range of areas. She offered her perspectives on leadership, international business, and how companies can strengthen their competitiveness in a global environment.

The global business landscape is evolving rapidly, shaped by shifting alliances, new trade barriers, advancing technologies, and increasing geopolitical uncertainty. She explored how these changes impact Finnish companies—from supply chains to talent strategies—and highlighted the leadership capabilities that will be most critical in the coming decade.

Drawing on international business networks and global policy discussions, she shared valuable observations and insights on this highly relevant and fascinating topic.
